Partnership Benefits

What your school gains

PEN Languages becomes an additional English resource your school can call on when individual students or groups of students need specialized support beyond the regular program.

Flexible delivery — including at your school

Courses can be delivered online, at PEN Languages in North York, or — where practical — directly at your school. On-site classes let students remain in a familiar environment while your staff can follow their progress more closely.

Partner referral fee

Your school may receive a referral fee for eligible students who enrol through the partnership, subject to the agreed terms and your school policy.

Group or one-to-one programs

We can support a group of students with a shared need or provide individualized instruction when one student requires a more specific learning path.

Progress visibility

With appropriate consent, progress communication can be coordinated so your staff remain connected to your students’ English development.

3-session assurance: if a one-to-one student, or more than 20% of a group class, are not satisfied within the first three sessions, PEN Languages will waive those sessions so another learning path can be considered without that tuition commitment.

Why Specialized Guidance Matters

English education — and English testing — keeps changing

Good preparation is not a collection of random test techniques. We study how changes in English tests affect real students and use that knowledge to guide the student toward the most suitable test and learning path.

Not every student needs a test. Some students need overall ESL or General English support; others need Academic English for higher education.
Not every test suits every student. Cultural, linguistic and educational background can make one test format more suitable than another.
We assess the whole student. Language level, first-language background, previous education, goals, timeline and destination all matter.
IELTSIELTS delivery has changed significantly, with computer-based testing now central to the test experience — changing timing, navigation and preparation strategy. IELTS Academic online delivery is already available in some settings, and broader online delivery is likely to bring further changes.
TOEFLTOEFL changed substantially in 2026. Its public rubrics describe performance levels, but the exact weighting of individual features — and how specific errors affect the final score — is not fully transparent.
DuolingoIts lower cost and remote delivery are attractive, but convenience does not automatically make it the best choice for every student.
PTEIts computer-based and automated scoring style can be highly suitable for some students and intimidating or less natural for others.
The objective is not simply a test score. It is stronger English that remains useful in higher education, career and life.
