Q: How long does it take for me to complete all regular group courses?
A: All regular courses from Beginner 1 to advanced 3 can take around 1 year and 9 months if taken without a gap. For intensive courses, it can take around 9 months without a gap.
Q: How long does it take to be prepared for IELTS or TOEFL?
A: It depends on your English level and the type of classes you take. As a reference, if your English level is pre-intermediate, and you take customized private classes and work hard, it takes around minimum 5 months to get prepared for IELTS or TOEFL. However, shorter and longer times are possible.
Q: What do we work on in General English/ESL courses?
A: In ESL courses, you get to practice and improve all your four language skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. You practice with everyday conversations on different topics for listening, you practice talking about every day issues for your speaking, and read and write about a wide range of topics on friendship, education, global warming, business, etc. You get to improve your grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and your fluency in English.
Q: What courses do I need to take if I just want to improve my English for work or everyday life?
A: The best courses, to begin with, are “General English/ESL” courses. In these courses, you get prepared for real-life English to communicate with people at work or anywhere else. If you need higher level English for school or university, you can take “English for Academic Purposes” after completing intermediate or pre-intermediate courses.
Q: If I want to take IELTS or TOEFL, can I take these courses right away?
A: In order to start your IELTS or TOEFL course, you need to have completed “intermediate” level courses first and PRE-TEST (PRE-IELTS or PRE-TOEFL) courses afterwards. If your assessment test results are equal to PRE-TEST courses’ level, you can start your IELTS or TOEFL course right away.
Q: Are private classes really more expensive?
A: You may need to pay more for your private classes at first, but as most private classes are customized and you can complete them in much shorter time (for example 6 months compared to 2 years), the total amount of money and time spent can be a lot less compared to regular group classes.
Q: what if I need an English course and I don’t find it in your list of courses?
A: You can contact us and we will help you choose the best course for your needs or we can customize a course just for you.
Q: Should I take private or regular group courses? Which one is better?
A: It is obvious that with Private customized classes, you can save a lot of time and money overall. Also, the quality of learning is much higher compared to group classes.

Q: How can I pay for my courses?
A: You can use PayPal to pay for your courses. If you live in Canada, you can also e-transfer the money to our email. We will process that within 24 hours. If you have a problem to pay for your course in these ways, contact us, and we will help you find the easiest way to pay.
Q: Can I cancel my registration?
A: Please check our cancellation policy on the cancellation page.
Q: When I received an email from PEN with a payment link to register for my course, the amount is not right. What should I do?
A: Do not pay. Please contact us with your personal information, and if there is an error, we will fix it and send you a new link with the correct amount.
